PRESIDENT: Nicki is the President of Women of Asphalt Colorado and a founding member of the branch. She now sees how important it is to have that support. When she came
PRESIDENT: Nicki is the President of Women of Asphalt Colorado and a founding member of the branch. Having started in a time when there were very few women in the field, she finds it rewarding to be able to support the ladies that are now and upcoming in the industry. She now sees how important it is to have that support. When she came up through the system she just had to grind her way through it. She just recently retired from CDOT after working there for 33 years as a Project Manager. She will now be working with Rocksol and is looking forward to a new chapter of adventures in the industry. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 dogs, chickens, her horse and gardening. She also enjoys dressing up in Victorian costumes and going to balls, teas and other events.

She wants to help women learn that this is a rewarding career with many benefits. To this end, she is the Military Liaison for the Colorado Branch of the Women of Asphalt, calling on her military experience to encourage veterans to join this profession.
Personally, she is the wife of an asphalt tester, the mother of an Army soldier, a VA Hospital volunteer, a Medieval recreationist, and a National Parks Geek. She loves road trips and living on the Colorado prairie!

EVENTS CHAIR: Tammy just celebrated 40 years in the industry. She worked at CDOT for 30+ years & had a wonderful career. She retired in 2014 and has been working as a consultant for Yeh and Associates in their Denver office. She has worked in a male dominated environment for her whole career. She has been fortunate to have had some fantastic supervisors that were very supportive and encouraging. Yeh has been especially in favor of her being a part of the Women of Asphalt and bringing more women into the workforce. She started in 1982 when there were very few women in the industry. She has been the “first” or “only” female in many positions, training classes, meetings, etc. Tammy’s happy place is the kitchen cooking, baking and creating new recipes. She also loves to travel anywhere with her husband.

Andy has been working in the industry since he was 17. He loves everything Colorado has to offer, and his wife says if you leave him next to a brick wall for 5 minutes, he could tell you it’s life story.

GOLF CHAIR: Liz has been a member of Women of Asphalt for 2 years and is excited to be the chair of the golf tournament fundraiser as she has been playing golf since she was 8. Liz started in the construction field 7 years ago as a schedule and she is currently the Estimator at Sunland Asphalt. Liz has two wonderful kids, Jack and Emmy and a loving husband Dustin.

It has been an exciting getting to know people of various backgrounds in the industry! She first started in the construction field as an intern and continued after graduating from CSU in 2020

A Colorado and Denver native, Tom has more than 43 years of experience in the Geotechnical Engineering Industry. He has spent time working on large and small Highway projects, airports, large and small commercial projects, as well as residential pavements.
Tom is married and has two children, Nicole and Jeremy and three grandsons, Jay and Dante and Cole and a
granddaughter Zoey.
WESTERN SLOPE CHAIR:
Heather is part of the Western Slope “Twig”. She has spent the last 15 plus years in the asphalt industry, starting out performing mix designs and testing in the construction world to engineering design for airport pavements. When Heather is not working around asphalt, she is spending time with her family and volunteering with a local horse rescue.
Cynthia is a project manager with 23 years of experience with CDOT. Her career spanned experience as an inspector on
I-70 final phase of the mouse trap, construction management, roadway designer and project manager on various projects in the Denver metro, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and surrounding areas.
Angie is a part of the Western Slope Twig of Women of Asphalt. She began her career as a materials tester in 2016 and is currently having a great time as a Consultant Project Engineer. She has strived to be a great leader and does all she can to share industry knowledge among other professionals. In her spare time, Angie is an outdoors
